Hard Rock Cafe Singapore Gets In The Mix With Soundcraft Si2

Singapore recently upgraded its in-house sound system with a Soundcraft Si2 console to easily manage all entertainment from background music to multiple live bands each night, keeping tourists, locals, musicians and celebrities continuously coming back for more.

HRC Singapore was the first HRC to open in Asia more than 20 years ago.  The first mixing console in use when it first opened was the Soundcraft Spirit Live.  It was subsequently replaced by a Soundcraft Delta and a Soundcraft Series 8000 32 channel that was in use for more than 10 years.  

With a history of bringing the best in entertainment to its customers, the management and technical crew at HRC Singapore decided to replace its older Soundcraft Series 8000 console with the Soundcraft Si2. “It always comes down to the overall experience with our patrons, so we decided to concentrate on making the music really stand out.  We have been using Soundcraft consoles from Day One and are very happy with their quality, sound and reliability” “With the Si2, our system has performed flawlessly and sounds great,” says Irwan Snin, Front of House Engineer.

Supplied and installed by Electronics & Engineering (E&E) PTE LTD in Singapore, the Si2 continues to provide quality sound to Hard Rock Caf fans every day. Established in 1951, E&E is one of Singapore’s leading A/V specialty contractors, and has represented Soundcraft for more than 20 years.

Gary Goh, Director of E&E stated, “The user-friendliness of the board was the top selling point in our work with Hard Rock. The digital console was perfect for a mid-sized venue like this one. There is no doubt that the Si2 has made musical operations run much more smoothly at the Hard Rock.”

Southern California Audio Post Facility AudioVision Upgrades To Fairlights Constellation XCS Console Audio post production facility AudioVision has placed an order for a three-bay Fairlight Constellation XCS console. This will be installed into a custom-built frame that is currently being constructed by AudioVisions owner, Bill Trousdale.

Based in Orange County, AudioVision was established in 1989 by Trousdale who has more than 35 years experience in the pro audio industry. The facility is equipped to a very high specification, particularly in regards to acoustic isolation and overall sonic purity. All of its audio recording systems are Fairlight, which Trousdale chose because they offer the speed, stability and audio quality that his clients demand.

EYEHEIGHT ANNOUNCES HD VOICEOVER AUDIO COMBINER Eyeheight's new HD Voiceover audio combiner allows AES audio sources such as voice or audio effects to be mixed with an existing HD-SDI embedded audio stream. Designed for use in broadcast studios, post-production facilities or playout centres, HD Voiceover can be controlled via automation, Eyeheight's FP-9 panel with multi-level colour-coded pushbutton menus, or via GPI. 
 
HD Voiceover's feature-set includes input channel manipulation, programmable automatic voiceover transitions and EDH re-insertion. Integral solid-state memories are provided to store six groups of user-configuration data. Manual or motorised fader operation is optional. The mixer is fully transparent to all other embedded signals.

New Lens adaptors for the Sony NEX-VG10

Following a meeting at the Sony UK head office, we can reveal photos of the much awaited NEX-VG10 together with the MTF Nikon G and PL adaptors

Bill Drummond, the Sony European product manager was excited to see for himself MTFs new products designed for the NEX range.

Both the camera, together with our Nikon and PL adaptors will be with Sony at IBC and Photokina.

These MTF lens adaptors will be shipping around the end of September, prices to be announced soon

Steiwer TV Chooses DK-Technologies PT0710M Waveform Monitor For Its new HD SNG Vehicle Audio and video metering company DK-Technologies has supplied a PT0710M waveform monitor to German company Steiwer TV, which is installing the unit in a new High Definition SNG vehicle.

Established in 2003, Steiwer TV offers SNG services to some of Germanys largest broadcasters including NDR Hamburg, WDR, ARD, ZDF, N24 and EBU. Its primary focus is local television programming, but it has also undertaken sports broadcast projects including the 2004 Olympics in Athens and Champions League football for Sat1.

New Sony E Mount adaptors from MTF

sony lens mount With the introduction of the Sony NEX stills cameras, and NEX-VG10 camcorder later this year, we have started work on some new products to suit.
We are pleased to announce that the first of these are Worlds first PL to E mount and Nikon G to E mount adaptors.
 
As ever with all MTF products, these  are designed and manufactured in the UK  with extreme precision using HE30 aluminium and our own stainless steel E mount.
Also coming soon from MTF is a modular tripod or handheld support system specifically designed for these E mount and also for our Micro 4/3 lens adaptors.
Both of these new products together with other lens adaptors will be on the Sony stand at IBC and Photokina.

TouchMonitor is a new range of products that RTW developed, from the ground up, which is sure to set new standards in professional audio metering. The two TouchMonitor versions, scheduled to ship by the end of 2010, include the TM7 featuring a 7" touch screen and the TM9 with a 9" touch screen. Both units combine unprecedented flexibility and modularity with an intuitive user interface. A limited number of TouchMonitor units are scheduled to begin shipping in December, with full production continuing early next year.
